Hi All!
Welcome to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #32~Q is for Quick (Make a Card in 10 Minutes. That's it....just make a 10 minute card!
Although this card has a number of steps I was able to put it together quickly due to a number of things. #1 ~ I've used this design before, #2 ~ I keep 4" x 5 1/4" pieces of cardstock for backgrounds and pre-folded bases, and #3~I cleaned off my card-making area....a miracle! The trouble is it won't stay that way.
I stamped the light house image first in Buttercream ink. Since this is a fast-drying True Color Fusion Ink, I only needed to set it aside for a few minutes while I completed the other parts. I stamped the background on the pre-cut cardstock, then stamped Happy Birthday. I cut the ribbon to be able to fit around the background panel. I then used the circle and pierced circle die cut. All I had to do was attach all the pieces.
Anyone who knows me, knows I take a long, long time to come up with a card design. I also have a difficult time following sketches. This just happened to be a design I have used before and like, so I was able to make a quick card.

Beautiful card for being a 'quickie'. This would make a great guy card.

Yep, I'm digging the design too. Stamping buttercream on a black circle was genius! LOVE how that looks! Fabulous card Karen!
ReplyDeleteNo one could ever guess this could be made in only ten minutes! I definitely could not make anything near this in ten minutes. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteFantastic card Karen! Love the colours and that lighthouse image!! Fab job sistah!
ReplyDeleteA great manly card and I agree 10 minute card...too hard unless doing something you have done before. I also keep bases and precut smaller sizes of paper ready.
ReplyDeleteCASEing yourself is a surefire way to keep it quick :) I absolutely love this! And will you come clean my desk too? Actually nah. I can never find anything if it's clean :)
