Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #34 ~ C is for Cake!

Hi All!

Welcome to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #34 ~ C is for Cake!  Look at all the cute Edna candles...such a fun cake for her.  I think everyone loves cake, except me.   The only cake I love is cheesecake...I know, I'm weird.  Well, you don't see many stamps of cheesecakes so I decided to use this yummy-looking cake.  If I liked cake, I would be thrilled with this one.  Now get going and bake make a cake project for Edna and link it to the SoSS site!

Other than using my Copics, all the products are from Fun Stampers Journey.  I fussy cut the cake and popped it out, partially overhanging the curve of the Note Pocket.  I stamped Whoo Hoo! on the insert because I think this might be said when the gift card attached to the back is seen!  The flower was stamped and die cut.  Then I curved the petals, adding dimension. and a Sparkle Dot.  I covered the heart and dotted the stars with Journey Glaze and the sprinkled Journey Sparkle Dust over them.

You can find the following products used on my Fun Stampers Journey site.

Stamps: SS-0083~To You,  SS-0043~Greet & Shout, SS-0038~Flower Party

Let's Talk Turkey! All That Stickles!

 Hi All!

Welcome to All That Stickles-Let's Talk Turkey Linky Party!  I had a blast decorating the Turkey.  I stamped his feathers on a scrap of alcohol ink covered glossy paper.  I fussy cut the group of feathers and added Paprika Stickles on the top.  I fussy cut the turkey body, another wing (alcohol inked scrap), another hat, and another beak. The beak is covered with Distress Antique Linen Stickles, the wattle with Christmas Red, the buckle with Golden Rod.  The neck had a light coating of Yellow Stickles and Paprika Stickles was used around the neck.  The hat was colored with Copics

I recycled the white pumpkin base, plastic container, bow, and floral foam from a Halloween display friends brought to me in the hospital.  I never thought about taking a picture of it...drugs.  It was so cool!  I bought some new flowers and added the turkey to replace the bat.  I added Orange Peel Stickles to the bow.

Make sure you add something to the Let's Talk Turkey Linky Party over at All That Stickles!

This is Challenge 146-Thing: Wood (use wood or anything woodgrain)  The challenge runs until October 25th  Stop by to see the rest of the Design Team and enter to be chosen as The Life of the Party!

I stamped the Poster on Wood twice and fussy cut the poster from the cream cardstock.  Then I distressed it with Vintage Photo Distress ink.  I also fussy cut and distressed the Barbed Wire Frame.  Three mini star brads were added to hold up the poster.  The frame was distressed with a distressing tool.

Hi Everyone!

There are some days I guess most of us wishes we had a voodoo doll.  Giving a person a headache for the headache they gave you sounds like a viable option...right?

One Small Step! Drunken Stampers Challenge-Neil Armstrong

Hello Everyone!

Happy World Card Making Day!

My easel card is about Neil Armstrong, documenting his famous quote as he stepped onto the moon on July 21, 1969.  I had just turned 14 and remember lying on the rug in front of the TV, wondering what Neil Armstrong was going to do when he stepped on the moon!  Our TV was often slightly out of focus.  The footage from the moon was even worse.  But it didn't matter, every image was utterly amazing and we were seeing it happen!

Armstrong always stated that he said "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.  He said it doesn't make sense the way it was reported.  Mission Control said they didn't hear an "a", but it has been studied often and it seems he could have said "a man."

Here is what we all saw on TV...the NASA video feed from Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station in Parkes, New South Wales, Australia.  To see the story of the Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station and how a change in schedule meant they were receiving the feed, watch The Dish.  Okay, I am a space nerd, but the movie is very good.

Back to the card!  The Drunken Stampers Challenge this week is Person: Neil Armstrong-Outer Space or an Astronaut!  There are awesome stamps and images of space, rockets, etc out there.  Have a blast joining our challenge!  You could be our next "Life of the Party!"

All of the stamps used are from Crackerbox Palace.  The silver card stock is from Club Scrap, the black shimmer card stock is from The Paper Cut.  The lunar surface and Neil Armstrong's footprint are NASA images ( all are free to use by US citizens because NASA is government funded ).  Check out the Hubble images once the government is no longer shutdown...they are awesome!

I fussy cut the Space Man and the flag from the NASA image.  I covered the flag with 3D Crystal Lacquer and attached it to a toothpick.   I stamped out another face mask and embossed it with Club Scrap Foil Embossing powder-Copper Foil.  The sayings were stamped in Colorbox Frost White Pigment ink.

The two NASA images (above^) were used for the, footprint, lunar surface, and United States Flag.
The flag is only attached to the "lunar "surface
Inside the card I added the "You're out of this world" saying.

The rest of the Design Team have come up with some out of this world creations!   So now leap over, have a drink with us, and join the party at Drunken Stampers!  You have until Friday October 11th at 11:59pm PST to post your link and have a go at being "The Life of the Party."  I can't wait to see your creations!

I am submitting this card into the following challenges:

The 10th Doctor! Drunken Stampers Challenge : Place-London

Hi All!

Welcome to the Drunken Stampers Challenge : Place-London!  The first thing I think about when hearing London is Doctor Who!  I love the show, especially the 10th Doctor...the handsome David Tennant.  I miss him so.  Hopefully the 12th Doctor is better than the 11th.  I also think of the BBC which has so many phenomenal shows!

The Doctor Who with Tardis digital stamp is called Doo Weeeeeee Doo! and is free from MayzyArt Freebies.  I found the Keep Calm and Call the Doctor sign at this link.  I could not find any copyright listed.

I printed the Doctor Who stamp on X-Press paper and colored it with Copics.  I then fussy cut the image.  I took a piece of the Whitewash Window Pane Core'dinations cardstock and sanded some of the white off, so it looked like fog.  Some of the white powder was added to the road.

KEEP CALM AND CALL THE DOCTOR!

Steampunk Boot-Buttons for Drunken Stampers

I had fun making this card.  I was drawn to this stamp, Click Your Heels by Stampendous.  It came as one stamp and I cut it apart to be able to use the boot by itself or space the saying away from the boot, as I did in this card.  I stamped it on X-Press paper and colored it with Copics.   The background paper is Tim Holtz Distress Kraft Core'dinations cardstock.  I embossed the cardstock with Tim Holtz Gears Texture Fades.  The three vintage buttons are from the button box I received from my grandma years ago.  The button in front of the toe of the boot is one to that would be attached from the back.  I had to cut off the back of the button.  It was much more difficult than when I do the same with cheap metal or plastic ones.

Join us by digging out your buttons and submitting your Button creation at Drunken Stampers!  We enjoy having lots of people party with us...you could be our next the Life of the Party!  Cheers!

Appreciation Card for Stickles Linky Party

Sentiment ^ inside the card

Welcome to the Stickles Linky Party-Appreciation!
Hi All!
My card uses an image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps, one of our generous August Sponsors.  I loved the free one I received for August and had to go to their site and buy some!  The digital stamp is JJ Block-Bras Are Like Friends.  The image was printed on X-Press paper and colored with Copic Markers!  I embellished the card with Stickles in the following colors: Glam Pink, Firefly, Black Diamond and Crystal.

I paper shaped the hair that I fussy cut and enlarged the chest area of the teddy.  Glossy Accents were used to highlight the lens of the glasses.

I diecut two of the smallest dies of the Spellbinder Nestabilities-Poppy.  The individual one is no longer being sold.  It is being sold in a four pack Nesties Flower B.  I searched for my individual poppy die online and found one for a reasonable price! Yea!  I covered the flowers with Firefly and Glam Pink by spreading the Stickles with my finger.

I also used polka dotted washi tape. The cardstock is from my stash.

Planning to Celebrate!

Happy Saturday!

It's the start of another challenge week at Drunken Stampers!  This week the Challenge is Person: Party Planner (Any Celebration)  Head over to Drunken Stampers (just don't drink and drive) and check out all the Designated Designers creations.  Then enter to become our Life of the Party this week!  We love to see all the fantastic creations you submit!

Well, my person is a touch too thin and pale.  He seems to be enjoying his birthday celebration  although he is a little stiff.  ;=)

The Birthday Skeleton stamp is from Crackerbox Palace Rubber Stamps.  He was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on X-Press paper and colored with Copics .  The other cardstock is from Club Scrap.  I embossed the silver paper with a Tim Holtz Riveted Metal Texture Fade.  I added Firefly Stickles on the hat and tie.  Also, the card was embellished with Card Candi and a Wish Adage Ticket from Tim Holtz.

I added this close-up of the Wish Adage Ticket since you cannot see the sparkle in the photo of the card.  It has been distressed with Pumice Stone and edged with Black Soot Distress Ink.  Then it was  covered with Distress Stickles: Dry Glitter-Clear Rock Candy

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

1 + 2 = Stickles Blog Hop!

Welcome to the 1 + 2 = Stickles Blog Hop brought to you by the All that Stickles design team!

Back to school is just around the corner, and what better way to start off the school year then with a bit of sparkle?! Today the design team is showcasing all sorts of glittery back to school projects that kiddos and teachers will love!

If you've come from Laura's blog, you're in the right place! If you have just come across the hop and would like to start from the beginning, please visit All that Stickles.

For my project, I made a a daily journal (out of a composition book) that a elementary student might enjoy.

Hi All!
I hope you enjoy my Back to School Journal.  I covered the binding of the composition book with black/white polka dot washi tape.  Then I attached pink cardstock with Scor-Tape for a stronger hold than a tape runner.  I distressed the edges of the paper a bit.  The Back to School Girl from the Octopode Factory was colored with Copic Markers on X-press paper.  I added Glam Pink and True Blue Stickles on the girl and Black Diamond Stickles on the edges of the circles.  All paper is from Club Scrap.  The pencil is a royalty free clip art image I colored with Copics. The back of the book is covered with the same pink cardstock.  Coordinating printed paper was used on the inside of the cover.

We have blog candy for those who are a follower of All that Stickles and leave a comment on every stop of the hop! Winners will be announced Wednesday August 21st at All that Stickles.
