Jareth the Goblin King--Labyrinth

Hi!
I'm back with another digital stamp from Octopode Factory.  It is Jareth the Goblin King from Labyrinth who was played by David Bowie.  It came out in 1986 and is a great movie everyone should see.  I made this card for my daughter's birthday (Shh...don't tell) because the movie was one of our family favorites when she and her brother were growing up.  We bought the Labyrinth VHS as soon as it came out.  She and her brother love it so much they went to see it in the theater, last month is Milwaukee.  We each own the DVD, but of course it is better on the big screen!  David Bowie has Anisocoria which is a difference in the size of pupils and is shown in the digital stamp.

The background is dry watercolor paper distressed using Wild Honey, Vintage Photo, and Mustard Seed Distress Ink and the Ranger Ink Blending Tool  After I got it how I liked it, I then sprinkled water on it.  My printer is still not printing so I stamped out the sentiment in Wild Honey using Delightful Alphabet stamps from Close To My Heart.

Jareth's coat was covered with Mystic Green Stickles since his coat is supposed to be sparkly.  I cut out his eyes and white shirt again and placed them over the originals.  You can see it in his shirt in the close-up photo.

Edward Scissorshands!

Hi!

This is my first go at digital and I might do more...I'm not sure. Edward is from Octopode Factory.  I love her version of Edward.  I colored Edward with Copic markers and then fussy cut him.

The saying is what Polly said to Edward before he cut her hair.  I cut up the words as Edward might have done.  I popped up his scissorhands so they look he is cutting Polly's hair.  It was supposed to be printed out but for some reason my printer won't print out documents, but did print out the digital stamp.  :(  I dislike my printing...if I get my printer to work, I'll post the fixed card at the bottom.

Biking with a Friend

 Hi,
Biking...I miss biking.  I remember biking with a friend for time to time when I used to live in the "sticks".  Not too much worry about cars driving by so you could ride side-by-side and talk all the way.  It wasn't for exercise (which it should have been) it was for talking about everything and anything...getting it all out.  That is why I picked that sentiment...that's how it was.  Although we live too far apart to ride bikes, we chat often on Facebook and when we do see each other it is like we were never apart.

The bicycle stamp is from Club Scrap and the sentiment is an Inkadinkado stamp.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Aged Mahogany (bike), Pumice Stone (path), Chipped Sapphire (sentiment), and Stormy Sky (sky).  I used my Ranger Ink Blending Tool to color the sky with Stormy Sky and the path with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.   It is layered it on top of Aged Mahogany Core'dinations and confetti cardstock.

Summer in Wisconsin

Hi All,
Summer is upon us in Wisconsin with heat, humidity, and thunderstorms.  When it is hot and humid one of the best places to be is on the water, relaxing in boat.
I used my Ranger Ink Blending Tool to color the watercolor paper with Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.  I tried to make a mist-like feel where the water met the horizon.  Then I covered the water in Clear Rock Candy Stickles (bottle) using the brush in the cover.  It was so easy to spread!  I love the subtle glittery effect, but the picture doesn't do it justice.  I shot the close up photo from a different angle and the color is distorted, but you can see the Rock Candy Stickles.

After looking at the {Pin}spirational picture I knew which stamp to use.  The stamp of the woman in a boat is from Stampin' Up.  I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  I colored the Stampin' Up Summer by the Sea woman stamp (retired) with Copic Markers trying to match colors in the June Color Palette.  I think I was able to use my Copics and get pretty close to the Distress ink colors of Pumice Stone, Chipped Sapphire, and Aged Mahogany.

Minutes-Spend Wisely

Hi Again,
I made this card for the birthday of a friend, I think he'll like it.  I need to remember to think about the sentiment more often then I do!  I added the gold clock on gold fiber to tie in with the minutes theme. I made the fold 1/2 inch from the top and used Scor-Tape and the three gold brads to keep that part closed.  The stamp and cardstock are from Club Scrap.  The black and gold cardstock is part of a Science kit of theirs...which being a self-proclaimed science geek/nerd, I thoroughly loved.

Colorful Summer Fun

Hello All!

I've never used the Clara stamp with such a bright card base...I think I like it.  Both stamps are from Crackerbox Palace Rubber Stamps.  I stamped Clara in Tuxedo Black Memento and colored her with Copic markers.  The photo is not very good... when I took the picture with a better angle, the flash reflected on the red cardstock. I used two flower brads and three Card Candies for embellishments.

Dream

Hi All!

As Wisconsin is finally getting summer weather, I am ready to head to the lake, relax, and dip my feet in the water.  Walking on the beach and getting warm sand in my toes is so much fun...until you put your sandals back on.   ;)   Then sitting down and relaxing with a good book makes the wonderful day complete!

This Stampin' Up Summer by the Sea stamp (retired) reminds me of wonderful days had, and to come.   It makes me smile.  I embossed the woman in white embossing powder.  I edged the card with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The paper, ribbon, and brads are from my stash.  I made this card a bit smaller so it will fit into a A2 envelope, even with the tag hanging over the edge. The tissue tape is from Tim Holtz.

Hope Sees the Invisible

Hi All!

I'm back again, faster than normal.  I just love these color combinations used in these card challenges. I thought this might be a way to get rid of some scraps I has cut up into various size strips.  I could attach them quickly with my 3M ATG.  I usually don't put adhesive down the entire length of anything I attach, but doing so, helped me complete this card quickly.  All supplies are from Club Scrap.

Monster Card

Hi All!
This card was very difficult for me to make.  I don't feel like I can make Clean and Simple cards yet.  It's not that I make cards which are that elaborate, but this is really hard.

The Slimer stamp is from Crackerbox Palace Rubber Stamps and the saying is from CTMH.  The red cardstock is from Core'dinations and the other two are from my stash.

Vintage Happy Father's Day card

Hi All!
I love the new set from Tim Holtz: Time Travelers CMS157...great vintage and steampunk images.  The Father's Day verse is from Crackerbox Palace Rubber stamps and the fancy look of it goes with the vintage feeling.  I attached a star button which I covered with a lot of Tea Dye Distress Stickles.   I stamped directly onto Basic Grey True Love paper using Tea Dye Distress ink and inked around the edges.
