Happy Birthday Card-Drunken Stampers: Anything Goes!

Hi All!

We're back......!  I bet you thought you got rid of us.  Well, no, we're back after a month break with the first of the Drunken Stampers challenges of the year.  Our Challenge #157 is Anything Goes!  Have fun designing whatever you want and become our next Life of the Party!

I designed this birthday card for a friend...she likes traditional cards and I felt the cupcake out of the Birthday Blueprint stamp set from Tim Holtz was the way to go!  Black Core'dination's card stock was dry embossed and sanded.  I used Distress Stains to color the watercolor paper.  I then stamped the cupcake twice, fussy cut the frosting, and colored it with Copics.  It was embellished with some Stickles  - Orange Peel, Yellow, and Distress Rock Candy, ribbon, and jewels.

I hope you enjoyed this card.  Don't forget to enter the Drunken Stampers Anything Goes - Challenge #157 You have until 11:59 PST on Friday, February 7th to post your project and vie for the title of The Life of the Party!  We're always looking for someone to drink with us!

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

CAS Metallic Christmas Card Drunken Stampers-Thing: Metal (Anything Metal or Metallic)

Hi!
This week at Drunken Stampers our challenge is to make a card/project featuring Metal (Anything Metal or Metallic)!  Enter your project anytime between November 30-December 6th at 11:59 pm PST and have the chance to win the ultimate title of The Life of the Party!

First of all I need to apologize for the quality of the photos of my CAS card.  I took one with a flash and one without.  The one with flash allows you to see the metallic cardstock.  The one below, without the flash, shows the metallic stickers in a better light.
I ran the silver cardstock through a Cricut embossing folder (older Christmas Companion set) and then distressed it with Archival Red Geranium ink and a distressing tool.  I added a metallic stickers...the saying and snowflakes.  A crystal was added to the center ornament.

Come on over and join the party at Drunken Stampers!  Make a card/project featuring Metal (Anything Metal or Metallic) and have the chance to be The Life of the Party!

The 10th Doctor! Drunken Stampers Challenge : Place-London

Hi All!

Welcome to the Drunken Stampers Challenge : Place-London!  The first thing I think about when hearing London is Doctor Who!  I love the show, especially the 10th Doctor...the handsome David Tennant.  I miss him so.  Hopefully the 12th Doctor is better than the 11th.  I also think of the BBC which has so many phenomenal shows!

The Doctor Who with Tardis digital stamp is called Doo Weeeeeee Doo! and is free from MayzyArt Freebies.  I found the Keep Calm and Call the Doctor sign at this link.  I could not find any copyright listed.

I printed the Doctor Who stamp on X-Press paper and colored it with Copics.  I then fussy cut the image.  I took a piece of the Whitewash Window Pane Core'dinations cardstock and sanded some of the white off, so it looked like fog.  Some of the white powder was added to the road.

KEEP CALM AND CALL THE DOCTOR!

Steampunk Boot-Buttons for Drunken Stampers

I had fun making this card.  I was drawn to this stamp, Click Your Heels by Stampendous.  It came as one stamp and I cut it apart to be able to use the boot by itself or space the saying away from the boot, as I did in this card.  I stamped it on X-Press paper and colored it with Copics.   The background paper is Tim Holtz Distress Kraft Core'dinations cardstock.  I embossed the cardstock with Tim Holtz Gears Texture Fades.  The three vintage buttons are from the button box I received from my grandma years ago.  The button in front of the toe of the boot is one to that would be attached from the back.  I had to cut off the back of the button.  It was much more difficult than when I do the same with cheap metal or plastic ones.

Join us by digging out your buttons and submitting your Button creation at Drunken Stampers!  We enjoy having lots of people party with us...you could be our next the Life of the Party!  Cheers!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Beach Dreams

Hi All!

I'm here today with my first card as a Designated Designer for Drunken Stampers!  Our theme is Place: A Beach [Use water, a beach, or the tropics as your theme.]
The challenge runs from August 10th -16th!  Have a few drinks [alcohol or not] and make sure to link your entry at the Drunken Stampers Blog.

The stamp I used is a retired stamp [Summer by the Sea] from Stampin' Up.  I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Copic X-press paper two times and colored the images with Copic markers.  The women's hair, shirt, and man's arm/leg were colored on the first one.  The man pants and hair were colored on the second image.  I stamped the man' s shirt again, on patterned paper.  All of these images were fussy cut...the entire first image, the man, except his arm/leg on the second, lastly the shirt.

The background was watercolor paper which had been colored with Tim Holtz Distress Stains [Chipped Sapphire and Broken China] and then distressed around the edge with Broken China Distress Ink. Two pieces of 100 grit sandpaper [I think it really looks like sand] were torn and distressed...and the first piece was attached to the background.  The complete image was added on the sandpaper and the second piece of sandpaper was placed over to cover part of the man's foot.  The 2nd image...man's pants, shirt and hair were placed over the first.  The last piece added was the shirt.  [I didn't like that the shirt was higher than the man's hair so I stamped and colored another head and added on top of the other one.]  The word Dream [from my stash] was distressed and stapled, using the Tiny Attacher, to the background.  Next time, I'll hopefully remember to take photos of the steps when needed...it would have helped here.

I hope you enjoy all the Designated Designers' cards and have a Tropical Hooter on us!

Have a fantastic week,
Team Tropical Hooters
