SoSS Challenge # 39: S is for Shaker

Welcome to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge # 39: S is for Shaker!  This one was a real challenge for me.  I had never made a shaker card before and wasn't sure what I was doing.  It might have been easier if I found the foam tape I bought years ago when shaker cards were first popular.  I made this shaker by die-cutting and stacking a lot of hearts.  Gluing each layer was one thing, lining up the ampersand cardstock another, but gluing the acetate was insane.  I kept getting glue on the acetate...five tries before I didn't mess it up too much.  But after all of this, I'm betting once I find my foam tape, I'll try making a shaker card again.

I made this card for a friend's wedding based on her colors of pink, green and silver.  I decided to made the heart green so it would pop.  All of the products are from Fun Stampers Journey and you can get them on my site:

  3. Fabulous wedding card, Awesome job for your first shaker card. I cut a star in fun foam for the shaker layer although foam mounting tape might have been easier.

  6. Seriously perfect for your very first! I always use double-sided tape for the acetate for the exact reason you mentioned - all my swear words if I use glue, lol!
